The Jezabels:
Love is my Disease

I was hired as director of photography for Australian band, ‘The Jezabels’ music video ‘Love is my Disease’. Shot in Tokyo, Japan, the conceptual film follows a salaryman being chased through the streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku. We had the pleasure to work with Kenichi Ito, the worlds fastest runner on all four limbs.  Due to the long running sequences, I used a lot of gimbal work, which contributed to giving an accurate sense of the speed that Kenichi could hit. The film also incorporated a few parkour elements which I coordinated with the athlete, Yuutarou Matsukawa. The video won ‘Best Australian Music Video’ at the Clipped Music Video Festival 2016.
